Ellmers Endorses Scalise for Majority Leader

Statement

Congresswoman Renee Ellmers (R-NC-02) released the following statement today supporting Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA), for Majority Leader of the U.S. House of Representatives.

"I have the utmost confidence in Steve Scalise to perform the job of Majority Leader. As both Chairman of the Republican Study Committee Chair and Majority Whip, he has always worked to pull our Conference together in order to push large policy items across the finish line. Steve always takes a thoughtful approach to policy, and knows that good policy makes for good politics. He is careful to collect input from everyone and seeks to include the voice of House Republican women. It has been said that the best way to predict future performance is by past performance, therefore these are just a few of the many reasons I'm proud to support Steve Scalise as our next Majority Leader."
